At Mater Dolorosa Parish (Mbabane) every third Sunday of the month, there’s a second collection to support the service of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) . This is also done at the Saturday evening Mass.
Then on the first Sunday of the month the elderly and poor from the surrounding areas of Mbabane, attend the 8:00 am Mass after which, mealie meal is distributed to them. Mr Martin Dlamini together with his wife is the architect behind this service.
Every year in December contributions are asked from the faithful to organise a special day for the needy. From the money collected, food hampers are bought and distributed to them assisted by our youth.
This year though there was a difference because besides the food hampers, they were treated to a braai. They had lunch before getting the food hampers. On top of that… they were given a piece of cake!
Thanks to the undying spirit and dedication of Mr Martin Dlamini and his team together with the availability of the youth who are always hands on.
